Here is a fascinating blog about education, theoretical but stimulating. This particular post suggests we seriously review the concept of curiculum and maybe start again.
Not easy of course given that we have relied on curiculum for years and years to give shape to courses and our teaching. To my mind this actually ties in with the concept of Creative Destruction, the ability to take risk and move forward, usually feared by those in power but considered by some to be an essential force in driving nations successfully forward.
Does this bring me back once more to Dogme? As a teacher trainer of course I cannot accept any of the arguments above as an excuse for a poorly planned class which does not appear to comply with the curiculum I work within. Without irony, things would be so boring.
