Shacked up? Internet as homework.

I don’t seem to have much time for TV these days but a colleague of mind mentioned this site to me recently and it really is amazing: http://tvshack.net/ Here you have streamed movies and TV shows. You sit back and watch Fawlty Towers or any of your more recent favourites such as Scrubs immediately. As a teacher my colleague was talking about how it can be used for student homework. They watch an old Friends episode in English and report back to class or they watch an espiode of a show they had previously seen in Spanish, online, in English and write a summary of it or bring some other task on it to their mates in class. Endless ideas.  There are so many ways of potentially using the Internet as a source of homework and in the process as a means of increasing the range of material we use in class and hopefully involving our students more in those very classes.
